Dr. O’Leary says:

My grandfather told me early on in my career to simply listen to the patient and he or she will tell you what is wrong. And my grandfather was right. Providing the best patient care is truly dependent upon the doctor patient relationship. This relationship needs to include open honest communication between the doctor and patient and the patient needs to have the time to express what is bothering him or her. Then together the doctor and patient can come up with the appropriate treatment plan to address the patient’s concerns.
